We're still making plans to get a gallery of sorts put together to exhibit some of this fantastic work the scribblers of Liverpool have produced over the years... there's a lot of it! We may have something in the pipeline for the biennial... We'll keep you posted :)

Been a while since the last news update... we've been doodling pretty much all the time since the last post... plenty more events under the belt. We've returned to Mello Mello and have begun hosting nights with Bands / DJs to bring you a complete Draw the Line package. If you're a band and interested in playing at a gig for us get in touch (see contact page).

We've made it into the Echo Newspaper! (sound of Champagne cork popping)

Draw the Online is One Year Old! If you wish to send us a present (maybe that fat brick of cash you have collecting dust) get in touch and we'll happily treat ourselves/you to some new shiny pens!
See you in Djangos on the 6th! (Drinks are accepted as presents also ;)

We've just begun a pilot series of events under the guide of Arts for Health in the Liverpool Royal Hospital, engaging patients to pass their waiting time with creative outbursts... The first session went really well and brightened the often ominous mood of waiting rooms, resulting in some happy faces and some unexpected secret artists! Lets hope we can continue to spread the love of doodles at future events....(010410)
Up for Arts and the Beer Mat campaign have now come to a celebrated close. We hosted a gig at FACT for their end of project conference which went down a treat. Robin and I would like to personally thank Laura Naylor (left) for all her hard work in managing the project and inviting us to get involved, and Jill Hargreaves (right) from Voluntary Arts England for her enthusiasm and commitment to the project. It was a great project - and a lot of time spent scanning Beer Mats - a worthy cause! (See some of the highlights in our Beer Mat Gallery)

Draw the Line reaches it's 2nd K milestone - Over 2000 visitors have paid their respects to the house of doodles.

Here's a sneaky look at a few select beer mats.... there's still
time to doodle on more before the month's over. Find them in Django's
Riff, 3345, Keith's Wine Bar, Host, The Grapes and there's even a few
kicking around in Leaf.....Power to the Pencil!

(150310)
Halfway through the month and a few events down, we're gathering quite a pile of superb beer mats with your doodles lovingly rendered upon them.... Still Keith's Wine bar to go and there's plenty more mats to be decorated available at Django's Riff, 3345, Keith's and even in the Grapes and Host on Hope St if you're getting your noodle doodle on.....
Catch you soon....

Here's a sneaky peak at a proposed Chester Rhino design based on existing material from past events. If you see some of your work on there, either be proud it's been selected or perhaps outraged. This is only an impression to try and win the bid, and not a final design, so hold off those on those "intellectual copyright perversion" emails scribblers. No work will be used without the artist's consent. Finger's crossed though!

Big thanks to Laura Naylor and all involved at the "Up for Arts" BBC Radio Merseyside event, Draw the Line had a fantastic time. See the gallery section for some pictures from the event...

Well we said we were going to try and get another January session on the cards and one actually came to us. "Up for Arts" is a collaborative venture between Voluntary Arts England and BBC Radio Merseyside which celebrates arts and creativity across the whole of Liverpool. They're hosting a weekend of events on the 30-31st and have kindly invited Draw the Line to get involved! If you want to come and have a doodle, whilst maybe having a go at some printmaking or crochet, get involved!

Well the Eat your Greens event has now passed us by and some interesting drawings were produced... people certainly were buzzing! Sadly most of our brand new Posca pens were half-inched and used to decorate the rest of the Masque, so apologies to the Masque's powers-that-be for that one :(
Keep looking out for the next event, DTL teams up with CGTweetUP,
and if all goes to plan it will be bigger and more arty than Neil
Buchanan's sock drawer!

Draw the Line comes at you like a left over Halloween pumpkin this November, all decorated and glowing with goodies! First off we have Django's on the traditional 1st Thursday, so once you've been down to the docks, parks, Cathedrals or back alleys for your Firework fix then drop in and grab a pen and beer. The marvelous Glen Southern has generously provided us with a wealth of artistic software DVDs to give away to some lucky guests (disclaimer: 100% legal and legit! Photoshop tutorials into 3-d modeling territory FYI)
Next up we get to add another venue to the growing list of places most doodled on the freaky Friday the 13th! Lots of horror Film monster drawings please as we put pen to paper in the Masque on Seel St, thank you to "Eat your Greens" for the invite: www.myspace.com/eatyourgreens
Check out Alex Panda's marvelous flyer for more info below!
