Want to get involved in a collaborative piece outside of Draw the Line? We're putting together a mosaic poster of artworks provided by you.
Brief: Draw whatever you want
within a fixed-ratio square (eg 10x10cm, 20cmx20cm or whatever scale
suits you as long as its equal proportions). Colour is ideal but if
B/W's your thing, not a problem.
Do your piece and send it to Mike (mike@themicrocosm.co.uk)
ideally scanned in CMYK / 300dpi and a photoshop format if possible....
If you don't have a scanner, or know what the fudge 300dpi is then
bring it along to an event and I'll scan and do my best to return it to you :)

Here's a sneaky peak at a proposed Chester Rhino design based on existing material from past events. If you see some of your work on there, either be proud it's been selected or perhaps outraged. This is only an impression to try and win the bid, and not a final design, so hold off those on those "intellectual copyright perversion" emails scribblers. No work will be used without the artist's consent. Finger's crossed though!

Well we said we were going to try and get another January session on the cards and one actually came to us. "Up for Arts" is a collaborative venture between Voluntary Arts England and BBC Radio Merseyside which celebrates arts and creativity across the whole of Liverpool. They're hosting a weekend of events on the 30-31st and have kindly invited Draw the Line to get involved! If you want to come and have a doodle, whilst maybe having a go at some printmaking or crochet, get involved!

Thanks to everyone for coming along to the posh docks and laying some top notch doodles down. Those CG folks gave us Draw the Liners a run for our money! A thousand thank yous to Ant and Glen for putting on such a great night, we'd love to be involved with the CGTweetup chaps again for the next one!

Well the Eat your Greens event has now passed us by and some interesting drawings were produced... people certainly were buzzing! Sadly most of our brand new Posca pens were half-inched and used to decorate the rest of the Masque, so apologies to the Masque's powers-that-be for that one :(
Keep looking out for the next event, DTL teams up with CGTweetUP, and if all goes to plan it will be bigger and more arty than Neil Buchanan's sock drawer!

Draw the Line comes at you like a left over Halloween pumpkin this November, all decorated and glowing with goodies! First off we have Django's on the traditional 1st Thursday, so once you've been down to the docks, parks, Cathedrals or back alleys for your Firework fix then drop in and grab a pen and beer. The marvelous Glen Southern has generously provided us with a wealth of artistic software DVDs to give away to some lucky guests (disclaimer: 100% legal and legit! Photoshop tutorials into 3-d modeling territory FYI)
Next up we get to add another venue to the growing list of places most doodled on the freaky Friday the 13th! Lots of horror Film monster drawings please as we put pen to paper in the Masque on Seel St, thank you to "Eat your Greens" for the invite: www.myspace.com/eatyourgreens

Draw the Line seems to be moving up in the world! We've picked up a couple of exciting new regulars in the form of Ja Wyn and Katie Tull, graffiti / stickering duo, bringing a fun new dimension to the mix. Expert CG artist / Character Designer / Master of all Glen Southern has also been down with the intent of showing his face again and perhaps bringing some goodies for people to win! Another successful Django's Riff session scribbled away and rolled up into tubes, next on the agenda shall be another SPECIAL EVENT to be held in 3345 Parr St. We'll be joining forces with ANOTHER MEDIA again after the success of their ABOVE THE BEATEN TRACK event and have been granted the doodle space of 3345's board room! There shall be a GALLERY of various artists work and a few select Draw the Line doodle pages on display from previous sessions. DON'T MISS IT!
